MOUNTAIN BIKE

Using your mountainbike in "Les portes du Soleil" is the perfect way to explore the region.The whole infrastructure that is used for the skiers in winter is used during the summer by mountain bikers.You have unlimited possibilities to make nice trips !( and not allways uphill !) During the summer the 24 open elevators can take you to the highest mountains where you can enjoy 380 km of cycle - track ! You can start for instance in Lindarets ( goat village ) and take the elevator to " Les Mossettes " and then go downhill to Switzerland, Champéry and Les Crosets. There is always a direct connection between Avoriaz by taking the" Express des Lindarets ".

The Chalet has a big covered entrance where you can put your mountain bikes.

You can hire a mountain bike in the region. Prices vary between 110 FF and higher depending on wich type of bike you want.

Of course an infrastructure like this attrackts a lot of manifestations. Some examples:
22-23 may 1999: Coupe du Monde Dual Slalom
27 june: Mondial du VTT in Morzine
4 till 8 august: Championat de Monde VTT en Trail.

Alles is mogelijk, van doop tot instructies voor gevorderden. Eén ding is zeker... je vliegt er echt tussenuit.

GOLF

A few very nice golf courts in the neighbourhood.
Avoriaz ( 2930 m) and a Green -fees
(9 holes and one with 18 holes ).

CANYONING-RAFTING

Descending the Dranse, just spectacular.

MOUNTAINEERING

Lots of possibilities but a guide is a must to discover the magical world of everlasting snow and ice.

Upper regions of the mountains
Objectief Mont Blanc, 5 days, from 3500 FF per person.
Objectif Cervin, 6 days, from 4600 FF per persoon.

Lower regions of the mountains.
You can make little or guided trips in the whole massif.

FISHING

You can find lakes all over the Haut-Savoie. From smale ones to very big ones, wich make it a perfect region for fishing ! But, d'ont forget , you need a license before you start ! The Montriond lake, near de Chalet is part of the " Chablais Genevois " just like the " Lac de Leman ".
